Sea Giant Wall in Jakarta Keeps Being Accelerated

Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan ensured that the construction of the giant sea wall, also called the National Capital Integrated Coastal Development (NCICD) that aims to overcome rob (tidal wave) in the northern coastal region of Jakarta is immediately completed.

Its existence is very needed to block water to land during tidal waves. Moreover, Jakarta is still prone to land subsidence.

Mobile Pump Sent to Overcome Rob in Pluit

"Insya Allah (God willing), the sea giant wall will finish soon," he expressed, when he reviewed the location affected rob and sea giant work in RW 04, Kamal Muara Urban Village, Penjaringan, North Jakarta, Wednesday (11/28) night.

Through emergency handling, he is also grateful the rob that inundates the road and residential settlement has receded quickly.

"This shows that the team has worked optimally, including by mobilizing pumps," he told.

In the location, he was accompanied by Assistant for Development and Environment, Yusmada Faizal, and North Jakarta Mayor, Syamsuddin Lologau.

As reported earlier, the NCICD work in Pasar Ikan and Blencong River areas, Marunda, North Jakarta has reached 90 percent.

While for another work in Kamal Muara area has touched 40 percent and is targeted to be finished in 2020.
